Portola Valley: $40,000 in unauthorized charges

When a resident of Westridge Drive in Portola Valley was out of the country on a two-week vacation, someone ran up $40,000 in charges on his credit card.

Wow! My focus on his enviable credit limit quickly dissipated because this is really bad news. I hope they catch the criminal big spenders & that their trail of bad debt isn't too long or deep.

With the availability of the Internet everywhere, it would pay to check checking and credit card accounts online even while abroad.
