Customers save Ladera's pizza restaurant

With the help of the community, a crisis has passed at the Round Table restaurant on Alpine Road in Ladera.

Some time before the Round Table location on the Alameda in Menlo Park closed, the owner/manager made an interesting observation - that the Ladera community was far more generous and involved than at this site. He suggested that the he could sponsor a Little League or sports team in Ladera, and the team, players, and families cared enough to stop by for dinner, after games, at team parties, or anytime, just to say thanks. He said that this was something that rarely happened at the Menlo Park location. It's nice to see the community spirit continues...

[Post removed. I don't want to get into personal stuff. He didn't solicit the money. He said he was going to close and the customers took the initiative to keep him open.]

sounds wonderful...but what about next month and the month after that.
