If my posts really violated terms of use, you'd state why they violated the terms of use instead of just posting they did. This really validates my argument that you're afraid of police officers in the community you report on, and for good reason.

You bring up some Great questions, and as you can see this is a Very Sensitive subject.

At least the Almanac just deletes the posts they choose to and does not Vanish them as they have in the past.

There is an Atherton Elder alive and well today only because I was watching my computer screen during a 20 minute period when a couple of Atherton residents posted some critical information, which VANISHED right before my eyes.

I hope vanishing posts has stopped.

This is a great discussion because there has never been any confirmation of an investigation and there is no proof of any hoax.It is all rumor on both sides. I feel that there is no investigation, but I could be wrong. No one has any proof of anything at this point.

I agree with you that this is a great discussion, It doesn't matter that the FBI never admits that they are conducting an investigation, they are doing their job.

I personally know several people who have met with the FBI.

I personally know several more people who are interested in meeting with them.

None of this information matters, but it is factual.

Um, Bob - how do you know there has been no "proof" of an investigation? By just repeating it, as you continue to do,it won't make your statement any more true.

As stated earlier, at least one source for the Almanac story was able to give a form of proof to the reporter that they were interviewed.

All papers cite un-named sources for sensitive stories. Did it ever occur to you that some people who were interviewed by the FBI wish to remain anonymous for security reasons?

Additionally, at least one former employee of the San Mateo Sheriff's office who has been interviewed by the FBI has been requested by the agents not to talk to the press.

Isn't The Almanac letting you post these highly critical comments?

In that respect, they are showing more integrity than the New York Times has recently.

The FBI is investigating Solyndra. FBI agents are photographed searching the offices and a FBI spokesman makes comments for the newspaper story. All this within a few days of the bankruptcy.

Has the FBI gone to Atherton Town Hall to request any documents since this story broke? Will the FBI ever issue a comment and bring closure to this story?
