We, as a society, seem very ready to start wars and to then send others off to fight and die in those wars. Sadly our enthusiasm is short lived and our memories even shorter. When those wars drag on longer than this season's TV programs we lose interest in the wars and we seem to forget about those whom WE have sent to do our dirty work. Some die in OUR service and the others return to a thankless society that has no interest in their welfare.
