Matt Henry is Spot on. It is a travesty to seperate Belle Haven from Menlo Park. It only reinforces the opinion that Belle Haven does not count. Hopefully the Menlo Park City Council can counteract that by strengthening our ties with Belle Haven and ensuring that it gets the same level of services as the rest of the city.

Perhaps the non-partisan, non-political California Citizens Redistricting Commission was simply recognizing a sad reality that many local residents understand but don't wish to acknowledge - that east and west of 101 are two very different places that receive very different levels of service and of attention.
