Kudos to Mark Sweyer for being the first in a very long time to bring a little life into Woodside. I am not a big fan of the bicyclists but one thing for sure they are not going away. I love the bike rack idea, perhaps now they won't take up car spaces to fix flat tires. Or make it impossible to enter Roberts because they wont go two feet from their beloved bikes. I am wondering if the cyclists will use the bike racks??

Thank you Town of Woodside for recognizing what the Sweyer family has brought to our community. Their current restaurant provides a wonderful meeting center and excellent food. It is too bad that they had to go through the additional cost and time to gain this approval.

As a long time Woodside resident I am a little concerned about the parking issues here as well. What saddens me is Long gone are the days where our children rode their bikes up and down Canada in safety. Now all we see is the streets over run by bike racers . I do hope everything works out and Mr.Sweyers business will be an asset to Woodside residents and not only cater to cyclists . I know Lee Ann Gilbert and Mark and anyone who thinks this is "Sweyer VS Gilbert" doesn't have a darn clue. It's about a businessman's right to start a business and about another businessman's right to protect their private parking lot for their tenants . I have great respect for both of them and actually know the two families to be friends. I am not a fan of the bikers but Lets be positive and hope Mark opens a fabulous restaurant and hope The Gilbert's /The Village Pub's parking is not impacted. Good luck my friends!

As a longtime resident of woodside i am pleased to see this proposed "business" didn't follow through. It was poorly thought out and would've been a drag not only the nearby parking, but on the streets as well. The parking lot was not designed for such a place and the last thing woodside needs to do is attract more bicyclists.
