That's a WOW ! Too bad, now Draeger's will be the only up scale market around here. Hope Draedger's can hang in there and not pull the plug as well.

Will be missed! This is... was... a really excellent store, and despite being considered upscale, prices on many items were quite reasonable.

Unbelievable. Seems we can support another Beverages and More but not Andronico's?
Draeger's is no replacement for Andronico's. Guess I will be driving to Los Altos.

I love Andronicos. Everything is first rate at that store and it is on par with Draegers regarding quality and selection with lower prices. That store will really be missed.
I have seen some great Grocers close in the past two decades. First was Midtown Market in Palo Alto which had the best butcher department hands down. Then John's market at Town & Country in Palo Alto closed. That was a great market too. JJ&F almost closed; but a buyer was found and continues on-- thankfully. Local non-chain grocers can't compete with chain store grocers on price; but you get far better quality on meats, fish, poultry, and produce.
Draeger' has a great hot food to go counter. Probably the best around getting a slight nod over Roberts. Cook's Seafood is better than Draeger's at about the same cost. Cook's steams their dunginess crabs every day. Their sand dabs are beyond comparison; and their Alaskan Wild King Salmon is to die for.

This store really went downhill the last year...from what I understand, the new management was horrible and the employees were all disgruntled that lead to it's demise.
