Trail connections a focus for POST leader Walter Moore

Creating trail connections among open-space parcels on the Peninsula will be the next great focus of local land preservation, says the new president of the Peninsula Open Space Trust. Walter Moore took the helm of the nonprofit Friday following the 24-year tenure of Audrey Rust.

Walter Moore is a worthy successor to Audrey Rust. We wish him well at POST.

If they truly embrace bio diversity and habitat management, they should allow seasoned hunters to harvest local deer per DFG regulations for a fee. I think they would be amazed at the revenue. It would also control the deer population which would also keep the exploding mountain lion population in check. Thjis could actually save a life.
