Menlo Park chops tree removal request in half

Dueling arborist reports suggest the reason for partially denying the Sharon Heights Golf and Country Club's request has to do with differing evaluations of tree health.

The golf course is immaculate. The removal of the trees would enhance the attractiveness and desirability of the course. Once again the staff is dictating policy that doesn't necessarily reflect an optimal outcome for the applicant and neighbors.
