Real estate: Are private council talks OK?

The Portola Valley town attorney claims a Town Council can discuss background questions about potential real estate transactions in private. An attorney representing California newspaper publishers says such discussions violate the state's open meeting law.

IMHO, It is NOT OK! It is HIGH time for the council to be above board and crystal clear on ALL issues!
