Car collides with school bus in Menlo Park

An alleged drunken driver traveling south on Middlefield Road in Menlo Park collided with a school bus carrying 32 students Thursday morning. The students were not injured. ==BI This photo== ==I of the car being towed away from the accident scene was contributed by John Woodell.==

"concerns about bus evacuation mediate against having them" --

It looks like government jargon users have found a new use of the word "mediate."

Also, you could use the same argument for not using seatbelts in cars. I think seatbelts in buses are a sound idea.

Another drunk driving incident--this time involving a school bus loaded with kids! Why do we give these drunks any leniency? People who get behind the wheel of a car when they're intoxicated (at 7:30 in the morning no less) are idiots, and the law should treat them accordingly. Are people with brain impairments allowed to drive?
