Subject: Still need help searching

I realize that lost dogs are not usually news items but we are really desperate to find this girl. Below is one of the posts we have sent to various newspapers. We have put up fliers, contacted the local humane societies and animal control, we have walked and called, and knocked on doors, we have brought other Ridgebacks to the area in the hopes she will come to them if and when she sees them, we have posted fliers in pet stores, veterinary hospitals, coffee shops etc., we have had tracking dogs come in, and one in coming in tomorrow to look for her. We have stopped people on the street to give out business cards and fliers. We are at a loss how to persuade the media to help us find her - please help us.

A rescue dog went missing on Sunday Feb 13 in the Selby/Oakwood area of Atherton/Redwood City. She is 75 pounds, red (reddish brown), she is a pure bred Rhodesian Ridgeback and has a ridge. She is microchipped. Because she slipped her collar she is not wearing her collar and tags. She may be frightened of strangers by now and she is probably very hungry. If you or anyone you know has seen a ridgeback dog in your area, please call Rhodesian Ridgeback Rescue at 925-899-4612. If you know of anyone who has recently found a stray dog please let us know as that may be our girl and the finders may not know we are desperately searching for her. We have brought in tracking dogs and know she is in the area, we just cannot find her. Please help us locate our rescue dog. www.ridgeback.org
