Armed homeowner confronts would-be burglar

The San Mateo County Sheriff's Office said it apprehended a suspect in an attempted residential burglary in unincorporated Redwood City Monday morning. The victim said she confronted a man with her firearm as he was trying to break into her home in the 700 block of 7th Avenue around 11:20 a.m., Lt. Ray Lunny of the Sheriff's Office said.
