Walk to School day: Hundreds of kids walk, bike, ride horses to school in Woodside

A total of 317 of the 443 students who arrived Oct. 27 at Woodside Elementary School did so on foot or by bike, bus, carpool, e-car or horse. It was Walk to School day, and the community plans to make it a monthly event.

Did you know that studies have shown that as school children increase their physical fitness their test scores improve? Plus, school is more fun when you walk. We love walking to school and we walk to school as often as we can.

Any day can be walk/bike/carpool/bus to school day, as long as parents and kids agree.
