Phillips Brooks names new head of school

Scott Erickson, head of the middle school at National Cathedral School in Washington, D.C., has been named the new head of Phillips Brooks School in Menlo Park. Mr. Erickson will take over as the fourth permanent head of the private elementary school on July 1, 2011.

I object to the editing of my previous comment. The comment was fully on topic, since it reflected on the statement by Mr. Lawler that "Scott fully embodies the PBS … core values." Those core values include kindness and inclusiveness. There is nothing hidden about Mr. Erikson's sexual orientation, since the message that went out to the entire PBS community stated several times that his partner's name is Ryan.
Is the Almanac uncomfortable in congratulating a school for being progressive?

Congratulations PBS! Kudos to the Board for courage and a job well done over the past two years.
