Cline and Robinson constantly talk out of both sides of their mouths. I hope Menlo Park residents are smart enough to get rid of these two incumbents! Then, all you have to do is get rid of Fergusson in two years. Menlo Park, this is your opportunity to take back your city!

Measure T should pass in November, which wouldn't be a bad thing, and will generate much-needed revenues, since Menlo Park's budget is unsustainable. Unfortunately, "Cline's/Robinson's/Fergusson's Council" wanted to look they actually accomplished something during the last four years. Therefore, Measure T is going to the voters, instead of having the "elected" leaders actually make a decision. Wow! That's leadership for you... NOT!

Vote out the incumbents! Menlo Park deserves better!

It would be a bad thing for Measure T to pass. It won't provide any near-term revenue or jobs because the credit market is tight and there's a glut of office space already built.
Whenever built, it will bring a lot of cars, partly because most of the new jobs will go to commuters not Menlo Park residents. Menlo Park's school districts lose money, traffic congestion will be awful from the bay to Middlefield at least. Most of the project, other that the hotel, won't generate revenue but sure will generate traffic.
The incumbents had plenty of reasons to find ways to help the city's budget soon, and had plenty of reasons to make plans for the general area rather than approve a special project for a single developer. Oh, but this is an election year isn't it? Maybe they just wanted to say they did something.

Measure T is not going to generate "much needed" revenues or any other kind of revenue! When/if it's built, the cost to MP will be greater than any money produced (primarily the transit occupancy tax from the hotel, which Bohannon clearly doesn't want to build, so that's very pie-in-the-sky.)

Measure T constrains other development in Menlo Park. So whether or not Bohannon goes ahead with his prevent, other people may be prevented from developing their property. Measure T is anti-growth...for everyone but Bohannon.

Note that Robinson, Cline, and Boyle all received substantial campaign donations from Bohannon in 2006. Also note that they all had private meetings with Bohannon. And finally, don't forget that Bohannon has a tendency to intimidate or threaten those who try to oppose him. At one point, both Cline and Robinson expressed great concern over the negative impacts of this project. Wonder why they changed their minds?

This project may be in the best interests of Menlo Park. But if you read the staff report and go through the numbers, it looks like a bad deal! No surprise, given that the key negotiator for the city was an old friend of Bohannon.

Well the latest Measure T ad from Bohannon has former Mayor Dee Tolles prommoting this monster project. It continues to lis saying that 1.8 million will come to the local schools. It is a lie, plain and simple.

Fullly 900,000 will go back to the state since those funds which would go to the Ravenswood school district are revenue limited and under State law will go elsewhere. So quit lieing about this Mr. Bohannon.

Cline 4 years ago pulled away from the Tolles, DuBoc, Jellins crowd. Now we see him on their same page ... build it bigger and make the developers rich while mot worrying about traffic, housing, or school impacts. Since he lives in west Menlo and never goes to the 101 / Marsh road / Middlefield area he is insulated from all of this I guess, in his mind.

I we re-elect Cline and Robinson, then together with Fergusson, we will have more of the same last 4 years. Deficit spending and most likely the UUT raised to its upper limit.
