Guest opinion: Portola Valley's famous watering holes

Before the end of World War II, Portola Valley was a quiet place of horses, hayfields and strawberry patches. A few small farms, a few estates and some cottages were the main buildings.

good article on local pub history. this is of great interest to the members of the ancient and honorable organization of E Clampus Vitus of local ...also looking to say hello to author nancy lund . she was a friend of my father john.
