"Ms. Furth and her staff will remain in their Oakland offices, but on Aug. 30 will affiliate with Burke, Williams & Sorensen"

Checking the Burke, Williams & Sorensen website, some of Furth's former "staff" at the McDonough firm are now partners at the Burke firm. Furth was not brought in as a partner at the Burke firm.

If her own law firm won't make a commitment to her, why should Atherton?

The worst thing about politicians is that they cannot be trusted.

Furth went to bat for Lewis, Marsala and Carlson. What did Furth get in return? It looks like she got a knife in the back.

So much for one good scratching of the back derserves another.

Perry Mason:

it ain't over till it's over. I'd put money on Furth ending up with the new contract. The "dirty three" must keep up appearances don't ya know.
