Bohannon Gateway / Towers project: A New Survey or attempting to gather Endorsers?

Original post made by Morris Brown, Menlo Park: Park Forest, on Aug 5, 2010

Residents are getting calls regarding a Survey for the Bohannon Gateway -- Bohannon Towers project.

Apparently if you answer positively, you get the opportunity to become an endorser of the Project; note copy of the letter received below from one voter who was surveyed.

The question is what happens when the survey gets a negative response. Does the Bohannon sponsored survey then offer to print your photo and announce that you are against his project?

As an aside, the resident who received this letter, refused to endorse the project.

BTW, I am opposed to this project. If Mr. Calderon, who signed the letter below would care to contact me and take and print my photo as being against the project, I am available.

Dear XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX:

On behalf of the Citizens Coalition for Menlo Gateway, I would like to thank you for publicly endorsing the Menlo Gateway project and for taking the time to talk with me on the phone last night. As part of your public endorsement, we would like to take a picture of you to include in Menlo Gateway publishing's. We were wondering if you had a free moment to come to our campaign headquarters, which is located at 100 Independence drive in Menlo Park, to allow us to take your picture? If you are unable to come to our office, we would be happy to meet with you at a time and location which is more convenient for you to take your picture. Thank you again for your support with the Menlo Gateway project and we hope to hear from you soon.

Respectfully,

Nicholas J. Calderon
Deputy Campaign Manager
