Supervisor Mark Church refuses to resign.

Original post made by Michael G. Stogner, another community, on Jul 6, 2010

Supervisor Mark Churh refuses to resign and save San Mateo County $1.6 M the cost of a special election.

“To step down now would mean the loss of valuable experience and knowledge that I have gained over 10 years of service on the board and, more importantly, leave the people of District 1 without representation during this crucial period,” Church said.

Mark Church should have thought about that before he put his name on the ballot to take a higher paying job with more than 2 years left on his term that he took an oath to fulfill.
