Pumping Iron for People in Need: Gina Tringale Bench Press Benefit

Original post made by Katherine Chouteau, another community, on Jun 4, 2010

On Saturday June 5th at 10:00 a.m., the third annual ‘Gina Tringale Bench Press Benefit’ will kick off at the San Mateo Elks Lodge, 229 West 20th Avenue in San Mateo. Hosted by San Carlos residents Carla and Dominic Tringale, the benefit honors their late daughter, Gina, who died in 1997 from Rubinstein-Taybi Syndrome. The syndrome causes developmental delays, among other symptoms.

Participating weightlifters have one hour to complete as many lifts as possible while supporters pledge money based on the number of lifts made. All pledges will benefit the Family Service Agency of San Mateo County, a nonprofit organization that helps transform the lives of struggling children, families and older adults throughout the Peninsula.

Please send tax-deductible donations to:
Tessa Solomon
Family Service
24 Second Avenue, San Mateo, 94401.
Please note ‘Bench Press Benefit’ on checks.

For additional information about the Gina Tringale Bench Press Benefit, please contact Dominic Tringale at 650-740-5720. For more info on Family Service, please visit www.familyserviceagency.org
