To the consternation of one Atherton resident, Ms. Lewis insisted on keeping all five copies.
According to Mr. Johns, the documents were photocopied for about ten cents per page at Kinkos. All told the bill was about $12.
Ms. Lewis it would appear is guilty of both assault and petty larceny.
Ms. Lewis should know from the lessons of Martha Stewart that, sometimes it isn't the crime itself so much as the attempt to cover up one's crime that gets one in trouble.
Ms. Lewis' only response to date has been "they must be talking about somebody else", or something to that effect.
Ms. Lewis owes all of us in Atherton an answer. Don' let her off the hook. Keep answering the hard question. Even if the one Ms. Lewis victimized is too traumatized to press charges.
