In March, 2010, my 52 year old sister passed away in the middle of the night at her home just a mile away in south Palo Alto as well. She was discovered by her roomate early the next morning.
I received the results of the autopsy this morning. Her death was ruled accidental. The Santa Clara County Coroner determined her death to be cardiac arrest, induced by an overdose of methadone.
I thought the similarities in the passing of my brother and sister as odd, but thought nothing more of these strange coincidences until having received word of the Coroner's report on my sister's death this morning.
There is one problem with the Coroner's report. My sister was not addicted to heroin. She was not under methodone treatment at the time of her passing. Methodone is not something one uses as a recreational drug.
The Coroner has ruled this death accidental. Her death occurred in Palo Alto, a city where former Chief Robert Brennan, the one who falsely accused me of creating a hostile work environment worked for over 20 years before commming to work for Atherton.
I know Brennan has friends in the Palo Alto Police Department. I know this because after dialing 911 to have his officers raid my office he also called a friend of his in the Palo Alto Police Department to dispatch a patrol unit over to my house. Apparently Brennan hoped the Palo Alto Police officers would gain entry to my house and find Town property that could then be used as evidence that I had been stealing from the Town. Mary Topliff revealed this during her deposition in my suit against the Town.
With Brennan's friends in the Palo Alto Police Department I have little hope of persuading the Palo Alto Police Department to initiate a criminal investigation pertaining to the circumstances of my beloved sister Mary's passing.
I would ask the support of the residents of the Town of Atherton to call for a criminal investigation by an objective and qualified law enforcement agency.
The case number of my sister's investigation is 10 00524. The Santa Clara County Coroner can be reached at 408 885 2010.
I want to be careful in accusing anybody falsely of committing a crime. I have been falsely accused myself and I know how damaging to one's reputation being called a criminal can be.
All I ask for is that this matter be looked into further. I thank the good residents of the Town of Atherton in advance for their support.
