Kenyan school project flourishes with community support

Original post made on Mar 11, 2010

It all started as a fairly modest plan: Raise about $300,000 to pay for construction of a boarding high school in a Kenyan city to help the Catholic community there educate girls in the region -- an idea that caught fire with Margo McAuliffe (photo) of Menlo Park. ==I Photo by Dave Boyce/The Almanac.==

Margo McAuliffe is my sister. I live in Beaverton, Oregon, she forwarded this story. I just want to say I am so proud of her and her work in Kenya. She has what it takes to get the job done and continue the work for a long time to come.
The story is well written and enjoyable to read.

Fantastic story about a phenomenal person. I've been blessed to get to work with Margo and Kenya Help for more than 3 years and I have been forever changed by the example set for me by Margo and the wonderful Kenya Help board. People who want to make the world a better place find a way.
