I find it disappointing that less than a year after completing the Encinal expansion and breaking ground on the new Oak Knoll campus, we find out that we need another $10M to redevelop the O'Connor site. Many in the community voiced a preference for keeping the existing schools smaller and opening a new campus but were told by the district that it would be prohibitively expensive to re-open the O'Connor school. Now we are finding out that after having spent our entire capital budget we are one campus short.
Maybe's it's time to hire a new demographer or at least get a second opinion.
If we do end up opening another school, maybe the district can finally make some space available for after school care.

Maybe it's time to merge with Ravenswood School District rather than suspend the Tinsley transfers.
