This may be a better URL to find a count circle to join:
Web Link lists them by name, date and contact info. There will be 2 counts in San Mateo County, organized by Sequoia Audubon Society ( Web Link ). Crystal Springs circle count is on Saturday, December 19, and Ano Nuevo circle on Saturday, January 2. The Palo Alto Christmas Bird Count on Monday, December 21 includes much of Menlo Park. It's a great half (or full) day out for a good reason.
