Tonight: Menlo Park council discusses below-market-rate housing in Belle Haven area

Menlo Park is considering two possible locations to add below-market-rate housing units in the Belle Haven neighborhood, despite a sense among some nearby residents that the city is trying to cram ill-advised projects into their neighborhood.

Thank you for a fair and unbiased article that explains all sides to this story. I would add to this story that Gateway Apartments is also in Belle Haven. Funding from the Redevelopment Agency was used to place 130 very low income apartments into the market. This means the City has built 150 housing units (both BMR and very low income) in Belle Haven, far more than any other neighborhood.
