Social networking feeds food bank

It began as a generous gesture at Trader Joe's in Menlo Park. As of last week, Carolee Hazard's kindness to a stranger had netted $10,000 to feed the hungry, with the number of donations to Second Harvest Food Bank growing every day.

What a wonderful story! Young people should learn from this as well.
They can check out www.DoSomething.org for ideas on helping the world and others.....from hunger to the environment.

It's so nice to see something positive come from Facebook. Normally the only posts about food I see are from "friends" tediously detailing every last crumb of a meal they consumed in an over-priced restaurant.
