This is the wrong attitude to take. "However, no one benefits from confusion over the regulations and we firmly believe legitimate collectives will embrace the regulatory framework"; "crime associated with profit-making drug enterprises", we need to realize as a country that legalizing these things and allowing business, state and county regulations is what will take the criminal aspect out. Not confusion and lack of profit. We will all benefit from the taxes so why not let them make money; and regulate it, just like cigarettes.

I totally agree with Dan. Marijuana is California's number 1 agricutural crop. Oakland has shown the way on tax policy. Local governments who get on the ball with this approach can help support needed services now in jeopardy due to lower tax revenues of other types.

Heck - Arnold could probably wipe away a huge portion of our state budget deficit and end this madness of closing State Parks and cutting poor kids' healthcare coverage, etc. He has even put together a task force to look into it, but State Legislators who will tell you behind closed doors they agree with this feel constrained when it's out in public.

We have to show support to help our leaders over the hump on this.

This is ridiculous. IF marijuana is needed, let an MD subscribe it. It is just an excuse for lots to use it. I am a cancer survivor, so there are other things that can be used!!!!
