There are two very large problems that we the residents and business owners of San Mateo County are left with:

1) Although the Grand Jury clearly gave a vote of no confidence to the selection process, the selections of this flawed process still stand. I would hope that some of our elected officials (Council Members or members of the Board of Supervisors) will use this report to further investigate and take the appropriate actions to intervene in what was to be a process conducted with “integrity and transparency”.
2) More importantly the inexcusable actions outlined in the report of the Executive Director (McCarthy) of the SBWMA should be proof enough that for one this person should not in a position serving the interest of the public not to mention tasked with overseeing a budget of over $40 million dollars of rate payer money! I would hope that at a minimum the entire charter and management of SBWMA be reevaluated considering these findings.
