Here's my chance to tell you about John Bentley. I was a volunteer chef assistant in Draeger's cooking school and Bentley was conducting a class. I was impressed by his food and his personal demeanor. He came back for another class and I approached him if I could be an apprentice in his kitchen in his Woodside restaurant. Long story short, I worked for him for two and a half years. His cooking is classic and terrific. He was a wonderful, patient teacher and I worked my butt off for him. And he is a wonderful human being. My time in his kitchen has marked me for the better for the rest of my life and I want to thank him for it.
I'll never forget this experience because of this outstanding person.

Martin
