Update: Student, 16, still hospitalized after being struck by car in Atherton crosswalk

A 16-year-old Woodside High School girl remains in Stanford Hospital with a broken leg, broken pelvis and kidney trauma after being struck by a car in an Atherton crosswalk on Monday, April 6, at around 12:40 p.m., Atherton police reported.

Thank god he did not kill her. Not wearing your glasses when they are required to drive is just as bad as drunk driving. Passing cars that are already stopped at a crosswalk is illegal, too. If the girl "was knocked 100 feet" from the impact site, could he really have been driving only 30mph?
