Martin Engel is a good man who cares about Menlo Park. Everyone who will be impacted by high speed rail should voice their concerns at the January 22nd meeting. But I think the powers in charge will be more receptive to what the residents of Menlo park have to say if the City Council drops its law suit. That would be a first step in establishing peace.

Yes, Martin Engel may well be a "good man" ... but what is it that distinguishes him from a self-interested vociferously dedicated NIMBY? Nothing -- as far as I can discern from the "picture" that has emerged over many years from press coverage and his own writings there and on various internet websites, blogs, etc.
