Snowpack 76 percent of normal, officials say

The first snow survey of the 2008-09 winter season indicates that California's snow-water content, or the volume of water contained in the snowpack, is only 76 percent of normal, according to the California Department of Water Resources.

Of course our snowpacks are below average! What else could we expect from the Department of Water Resources when it is headed by someone named LES SNOW?

If only all of our problems were so easy to fix.
