The students' video is well worth watching. It can be found here Web Link

These students are the future of our community. It is time that our current leadership supports their success.

Tavenner raises some very good questions. I'd particularly like to hear a charter school opponent address the fact that Summit spends $2,600 less per student than the district. The argument I've heard from the opponents that I've always found most compelling is that Summit takes money away from the district. But it seems to me the district is saving money by having students it would have spent $9,400 on enroll in a more cost-effective program. The argument doesn't seem to hold water next to the cost comparison.
