Water pipeline upgrade meeting Wednesday

The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission will hold a community meeting in North Fair Oaks at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10, to discuss the local impacts of the program to upgrade the Hetch Hetchy water system.

When the last SFWD pipeline was constructed in 1972 and 1973 we needed to clear and remove most items on the San Francisco Water Department right of way to install the new pipeline. With exception of the Stanford golf course easements restoration of improvements on the right of way was left up to the adjcent property owners. The writer was project engineer for the pipeline contractor in the 70's
