Unlicensed contractors busted in crackdown

San Mateo County authorities are warning homeowners about unlicensed contractors in the wake of a two-day sting operation in Menlo Park and Belmont that resulted in 22 arrests or citations.

Its about time ! I pay a lot more to do business the legal way. Now that the state needs the money they are cracking down . Hopefully things will change .

Unlicensed uninsured contractors using illegal labor not paying any taxes, social security, unemployment or worker's comp, etc. Thank our cities for providing day labor centers so these illicit operators have a source for their illegal labor.
This crap really hurts the contractors who perform quality work, legally and supporting our country.
