Taize Service at Holy Trinity on Monday, Nov. 17

Original post made by Linda Hubbard Gulker, Menlo Park: other, on Nov 11, 2008

All are invited to participate in an ecumenical Taize style worship in the chapel at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church on Monday, November 17 at 7:00 pm. The service will be lead by priest-in-residence the Rev. David Perry and feature pianist Joe Guthrie. Families with pre-teens and teenagers are encouraged to share this experience together, which features chants, prayers and silence. The less than 60-minute service will be followed by conversation and fellowship for those wishing to stay. The Taize Community in France is made up of over 100 brothers from 30 nations. It is visited by hundreds of thousands of young people (and others) each year and endeavors to be "a sign of reconciliation between divided Christians and between separated peoples." The church is located at 330 Ravenswood at the corner of Laurel Avenue in Menlo Park.
