The Almanac returns to mail delivery

Original post made on Oct 16, 2008

Beginning with the Oct. 22 edition, residents will once more receive the print edition of The Almanac in the mailbox, rather than in a blue plastic bag on the driveway.

Great news! The Almanac used to be delivered by mail, and this was more convenient than having it thrown in the driveway. I'm glad the Almanac will be delivered by mail again. (and... no plastic)

I love the plastic! I use it on dog walks. Now I guess I'll have to take along pages of the Almanac instead.

Yaaay! It is about time. No more litter on my driveway. No more unasked for stacks of old papers waiting to greet you when you come back from a trip or vacation. No more garbage lining the streets when I walk around the block. Now if we can only get that miserable piece of litter called the SF Chronicle to stop their unrequested delivery, the neighborhood would be much much cleaner. Yaaay!

Hi. It is the SF Examiner (Examiner Peninsula) that litters all over town. You have to pay for the Chronicle, so if you don't pay, they don't litter with it.
