A public records request reveals a forwarded e-mail from then Lieutenant Glenn Nielsen to his boss Chief Robert Brennan about a Tiger Woods Driver the e-mail was sent on December 12, 2007 more than two weeks before Officer Yee was suspended pending an Internal Affairs investigation over the alleged theft of golf clubs.
In his e-mail addressed to Chief Robert Brennan and Jennifer Frew, Lieutenant Nielsen says \"shall we share this joke with Officer Yee?\"
One has to wonder what Officer Yee might have said or done to cross the thin blue line.
Stay tuned, this story is bound to get better as discovery proceeds in litigation pending against the Town of Atherton. You can bet that police reports written by former Officer Yee will be subponead.

Hot, what exactly are you on the trail of? If you've got some scandal to share, you've got to be more clear. And what discovery for litigation are you talking about? Is someone suing over the golf club theft?

Officer Yee was about to break rank with his colleagues. And tell the truth about an incident involving the violation of a so called suspect\'s civil rights.
In response there was a certain high ranking official in the Atherton Police Department (Hint, he was recently promoted and he is an admirer or Richard Nixon) who followed what has been a successful strategy of avoiding accountability. Accuse your enemy of what you yourself are guilty of.
It will soon be revealed through discovery that Officer Yee was knowledgeable about a falsified police report. Regrettably what Yee pleaded nolo contendre.
I am sorry I cannot reveal what litigation (either ongoing or pending) this is related to. But I know of one individual at 83 Ashfield who will get very nervous when the subponea hits his desk.
