Either she is running or she is setting the stage for another candidate. She isn't writing those emails though, because they are way too sophisticated for her.

Pretty funny that she is complaining about policies that were established and decisions that were made during her four years on the council. She was a member of the council majority and mayor for a year -- why didn't she demonstrate her leadership skills then?

Very disappointing approach. I would be you she hasn't shown up at a single city function to offer help, yet she has time to send out letters with questionable data and more questionable intentions. I am all for bringing issues to the table, but not this way, this quiet co-opted email list that shows no proof of "discussion". This is why I voted them out in the first place. Can't we just get some simple honest discussion and not these weird one off random exchanges? So tired of this stuff.

Excuse me? How many millions will young 22 year old DuBoc inherit some day from the DuBoc Trust? Maybe that explains the DuBoc cavalier attitude and lack of compassion.

Ricky Duboc is as likely to be worrying about his retirement as Lee is to be using words like "sublimate." Shame on you, Lee, for trying to skim some political capital off your kid.

P.S. I didn't realize that there would be any retirement money available for baby boomers. Does Lee know something that the rest of us don't? And, by the way, does she believe that Menlo Park can have an impact on national policy?

Let's leave personal attacks, especially about kids, out of this! While I don't get what all of this is about, I think this sort of nastiness is inappropriate.

When Lee Duboc was on the MP Council and was criticized for anything, she claimed the criticism was "just political". She denied being political when she gave away $2.6 million to Menlo Atherton High School; when she tried to give away Bayfront Park to her favorites; and when she allowed Nicholas Jellins to preen and pose in the Mayor's seat in exchange for his never-failing reliable votes.

Let's not forget the origins of her Menlofuture distribution list: Mickie Winkler started the list at a public meeting in the MP Library basement about residential design in 2002. The list was expanded by phony grass-roots organizations like the Menlo Park Neighborhood Association, the Menlo Park Business Association and the Menlo Park Civic Association which later became Menlo Matters. How do I know this? I attended the first library meeting in 2002 and entered a fictitious name and viable email address. Since then, I have been on every email broadcast and every mailing from the Winkler camp.

The only irksome question that looms is how Winkler had people on her email list whose only contact with the City was via a letter to the City's web site. That occurrence seemed odd and hangs out there like rotting fruit.

After Lee & Mickie were bounced from the City Council in 2006, John Boyle inherited their database to distribute for his electronic newsletter which has been remarkably neutral and informative. Unfortunately Lee and her consultants are now using the same list to distribute and test political messages for the fall campaign.

Don't think for a second that those who dominate the current City Council have been idle: If you helped with the rescue of Kepler's or signed the Derry Referendum or signed Kelly Fergusson's Residential Design Referendum, be prepared for more unsolicited propaganda as the election season approaches. These lists began in the Gail Slocum days when information/opinion was distributed by the U.S Postal Service only.

As usual, Menlo Park sticks to its polarized camps. The question is: Can one side listen to the other? Does Lee have some good points?

Is there anything wrong with unsolicited emails? I don't think so. It's a proven method of getting one's opinion out in the Menlo Park world. It's all about databases and yes, it's "just political".

Please check your facts. Referendum petitions do not have a space for email addresses.

Fact is that the only council member to have obtained email addresses in any underhanded way is Mickie, who harvested them wherever she could, whether or not her behavior was appropriate. She in turn passed her list along to John Boyle.

When you signed up to register to vote, you may have given your email address. If so, you are considered fair game for political messages (and you will be receiving more and more of them in the next six months). If you want to have your email removed from the list, contact Warren Slocum, the voter registrar in San Mateo County.

But don't blame politicians for using the email address you supplied. That's what they do.

It's 2014, and Lee Duboc is again sending out unsolicited emails. So are John Boyle and Henry Riggs.

Lee is performing an important role of informing the community on important issues.

The Measure M supporters prefer an uninformed community.

You are free to be informed or ignorant - your choice.

There are many ways of being informed. Unsolicited email is one of them. Since the commenter isn't happy with the method, the this should be stopped. It has nothing to do with being informed or being ignorant on an issue, but the method of delivery.

I find her e-mails generally valuable. She has even responded to me when I asked her for clarification. While her e-mails do not have an unsubscribe feature, you may just want to ask her to remove your name, after all she is a neighbor.

The San Mateo County Elections Office provides voter data on a variety of races for $125. The information contained therein can be used without restriction for political activities and political activities only.

However, there are many independent organizations that obtain this information from the office of elections. If you take your e-mail off the San Mateo County list it will still remain on other lists obtained from the county and those organizations are not obligated to delete the email addresses.

If you don't like MenloFuture then unsubscribe. Lee Duboc will delete your name from the distribution list. Everyone who publishes a newsletter must provide you with an unsubscribe option. [Portion removed; stick to the topic.]

To call Lee Duboc's one-sided propaganda "information" is laughable. No facts, no substantiation, just a lot of garbage thrown at the wall in hopes that something will stick. So typical of the No on M people.

I've asked multiple times to be removed from her list. She is violating mass mail etiquette in the first place by adding email addresses of people who never requested inclusion on her list. This is the definition of spam: unsolicited email that can't be stopped.

Lee is sending emails to neighbors who wrote the city council but are not registered to vote... where did she get those emails since she isn't on the council anymore?

Looks like something struck a chord with the Yes on M crowd today. I find it extremely distasteful to go after a citizen the way you folks are going after Lee. If you don't like her newsletter, unsubscribe. If it doesn't work once, I'm sure it will work the second time. For you to create a firestorm of negativity on a PUBLIC forum, regarding one of MP's citizen and also mention a member of her family is embarrassing. I know Lee, I respect Lee, and I consider Lee a friend of mine. She knows more about this town, cares more about this town, and has volunteered her time for this town, more than perhaps all of you combined. The last time I checked it's ok to have an opinion, and it's more than ok to debate that opinion, or disagree with it. However, how 'bout doing it in person, or in front of your anonymous post and/or keep the personal attacks to a minimum? Sad state of affairs.

Sorry, Scott, Lee puts herself in the limelight here, and when you do that, you invite attention, positive and negative. It's all about her. If she wants to be treated like a private citizen, then she needs to stop spamming everyone. Maybe as your friend you want to convey that message to her?

She is not "spamming everyone", she started that list from her own email list that was used 6-8 years ago during her time on council. People have added themselves from other campaigns that she's supported.(Remember the Pension Reform, which helped MP save money?) Her council time has been so long ago, I find it odd that people anonymously have to bash her for a newsletter? A newsletter that receives a significant amount of positive feedback, versus the few anonymously posted negative responses on this trail. Again,if you don't like it, opt out or delete.
