Holy Trinity Celebrates Earth Day on April 20

Original post made by Linda Hubbard Gulker, Menlo Park: other, on Apr 9, 2008

Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Menlo Park celebrates Earth Day on Sunday, April 20, with a variety of ways to contemplate the fascinating and controversial issues around the most fundamental of human needs – food. The community is invited to attend any or all of the planned events:

- 8:30 & 10:30 am Worship: Bring your home-grown lemons, rosemary and salad fixin’s to offer during a special liturgy celebrating God’s creation.

- 9:30 am Forum: "Cultivating the Spirit: What Do Trees Have to Do With Peace?" with Denise Roy, author of the best seller, Momfulness.

- 5:00 pm "Ripe for Change," a fascinating 55-minute PBS documentary film about the intersection of food and politics in California over the last 30 years.

- 6:00 pm “Local Sustainable Food” Supper

Holy Trinity is located at 330 Ravenswood (at Laurel) in Menlo Park. For information about services and activities, call 326-2083 or visit the website, www.trinitymenlopark.org.
