Franchise Hockey wins Rollin' Ice Championship

Original post made by Perryn Rowland, Menlo Park: Linfield Oaks, on Apr 6, 2008

Franchise Hockey, a boys' high roller hockey team comprised of Menlo-Atherton High School players, won the Division V Winter League Championship at Rollin' Ice in San Jose last night. They shut out the Lincoln HS team 15-0. Mikey Stanzler was outstanding in the goal and top scorers were Nick Sako and Matt King of Menlo Park. Cameron Rowland, Sheraj Ragobeer and Ray Cleverly all contributed goals and assists to capture the win. Chris Cornelius, although not able to play in the championship, has been solid in defense all season. Franchise Hockey won the Spring Division IV "B" championship last Spring. Any interested players (including current 8th graders) should contact mattking@franchisehockey.com.
