High-speed trains may zip through Atherton, MP

The California High-Speed Rail Authority Board has chosen Pacheco Pass as the preferred California high-speed rail route, meaning passenger trains traveling up to 220 mph between San Francisco and Los Angeles could zoom through Menlo Park, Atherton, and other Peninsula cities in as soon as 10 years if a $10 billion bond measure passes in November.

why was this new thread started? There is one on the same topic under Around Town.
I think Menlo Park is where it should have been placed originally.
