"What are taxpayers getting out of this deal?" is exactly the question we should all be asking.

Is there any reason to expect "profits" from the hospital? Is this consistent with past history? What happens if there is a deficit? Is the district on the hook somehow?
How much of the annual district money will go to the hospital? Is there any provision for providing hospital-based public health care in perpetuity?
There are too many unanswered questions. The district board should be ashamed of itself for not involving the public more before making its decision. Why not a vote?

I have wondered for some time what the religious upbringing and current religious practices are of the publicly-elected board.
Does this constitute a conflict of interest, particularly the total?
