The Almanac and David Boyce do a disservice to the community with the negative tone of this article. In particular it is offensive to characterize Mr. Ryles’ comment about Phillips Brooks $10M investment that accrues to the Las Lomitas School District at the end of their lease period. I.E. "It is a gift to the state," Mr. Ryles said lightly. This investment truly benefits the local school system.

The characterization of Mr. Ryles' remarks implies a bias in Mr. Boyce’s writing that pervades the negative tone of the entire article. If the Almanac insists upon stirring trouble, at least you could refrain from negative characterizations of individuals who are volunteers working to make our community better for families.
