Author Lindsey Crittenden Kicks Off Holy Trinity's Fall Forum

Lindsey Crittenden, the author of "The Water Will Hold You: A Skeptic Learns to Pray," will be first speaker at the new Forum presented by Holy Trinity Episcopal Church each Sunday beginning September 9. The Forum, from 9:30 to 10:15 am, is between Trinity's two worship services at 8:30 and 10:30 am.

There will be special activities for children on the 9th, including a bouncy house and face painting, as well as Sunday School registration.

All members of the community are welcome to hear the author discuss and read from her book and take part in the children's activities. Holy Trinity Episcopal Church is located 330 Ravenswood Ave. in Menlo Park. The phone number is (650) 326-2083; website is http://www.trinitymenlopark.org.

Don't know if she is related to the Park Theater's Howard Crittenden, but let's hope that any prayers requesting city handouts will be ignored by the higher powers in the council chambers and elsewhere.
