What will replace the Chevron?

Original post made by Wondering, Menlo Park: The Willows, on May 22, 2007

Why did the Chevron station on the corner of Middlefield and Willow disappear so quickly?

The lot was quickly razed and surrounded by chainlink fence. It's been sporting a "For Lease" sign for a few weeks now.

What will take its place on this prominent neighborhood corner? How is that property zoned - could anything other than a gas station take its place?

Just wondering.

Fred Wedge retired on February 28, 2007.
No one else stepped forward to continue the business.
That is why that wonderful service station was removed.
I am surprised that this is the very first mention of this on this website or in the newspaper.

This was a very handy and convenient location for me to use along the Middlefield Road corridor.
I sure wish that gas station could somehow return under new ownership!
