Should San Mateo County spend thousands of dollars and provide cars for the Las Vegas law enforcement race, where the sheriff got caught in a brother raid this year?
About $9,400 of county funds were spent on a recent trip by county employees to run in the Las Vegas relay race.
Fifty-four county employees, including Mr. Munks, participated in the run. About $6,000 of the costs went toward the use of 11 county vehicles, according to a report by the county controller's office.
