The breakfast is set for 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Crowne Plaza Cabaña Hotel in Palo Alto. Parenting author Mike Riera will speak on "The Hidden Logic of Children and Teens."
Ladera resident Lawrence M. (Larry) Schwab, a Palo Alto attorney and 20-year community volunteer, is the 2007 special honoree.
Tickets are $70 each and advance reservations are required. Proceeds from the breakfast benefit the mental health programs of Family & Children Services, including school-based counseling, violence prevention, intervention and treatment, and self-sufficiency training for youth preparing for life after foster care.
